Homestead Group is a Sydney contractor covering carpentry, concrete and guard rail. The list is short on purpose. These are the trades we can resource, supervise and stand behind.
Why only three trades
Plenty of contractors advertise everything and subcontract most of it. That works until something goes wrong, at which point nobody on site is actually responsible for the part that failed.
We do carpentry, concrete and guard rail because they belong together. Formwork and concrete are the same job seen from two ends, and a concrete repair with a balustrade reinstated over it is one job that usually gets split into two. Keeping them under one contractor removes the gap where work gets lost, and the argument about whose fault the gap was.
The people who quote your job are the people who run it. Nothing sits between the estimate and the crew, which is the reason our dates hold.

Three trades, no handover
Formwork into concrete, concrete repair into balustrade. The joins between our trades are the ones that usually go wrong on a job, so we own both sides of them.
Build to the documents
We build to the engineer's drawings and the specified details. Where site conditions conflict with them we stop and raise it, rather than improvising something nobody approved.
Scope in writing first
Thickness, reinforcement, base, finish and fixing detail all stated before work starts. When a job uncovers more, we stop, show you what we found and requote before carrying on.
Dates we can actually hold
We would rather decline a date than take it and slip. On a builder's programme a missed pour pushes every trade behind it, and that cost lands on you rather than us.
Sydney, properly covered
Based in the south-west and working across the basin. Close enough to most of our jobs that a second look before a pour is no trouble.
Say no early
Work outside our three trades, or outside what we are licensed for, gets identified on the first call and referred on. Better than attempting it badly and fixing it later.
